Intelligent Lighting eliminates the control wiring, centralised panels, and fixture-to-fixture colour inconsistencies that come with traditional control protocols, like DALI.
With DALI, you need to run low-voltage control wire from each fixture back to a central controller, house and cool the equipment in a technical room, and coordinate between electricians and low-voltage contractors throughout the installation. Even then, achieving colour consistency across different fixture types, such as downlights and lamps, is extremely difficult because the light sources use different emitter and control technology.
Intelligent Lighting removes all of this complexity: each fixture includes native wireless control, so you only need line voltage. No control wiring. No centralised panels. No electrical closet.
And because Lutron engineers both the light source and the control, downlights, lamps, and linears deliver identical colour and dimming performance. You can create per-fixture scenes, reassign fixtures to new zones wirelessly, and add fixtures post-construction without running a single new wire.
The system uses Lutron's purpose-built wireless protocol—not Wi-Fi or Bluetooth—engineered for reliability and range in demanding architectural environments.
